About Olive

The nurse, in all professional relationships, practices with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth and uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of health problems. The measures nurses take to care for the patients enable the patient to live with as much physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being as possible.*

The heart and soul behind Olive comes from years of experience in nursing. Sitting at the bedside of patients and family as they fight the battles that need to be fought. Not having the answers to "why," but being there with honesty and compassion, to help them along the way. Helping them navigate through a journey they would rather have not taken. Nurses have a unique opportunity to affect the lives of the people they touch every day. It is not the easiest of professions, yet it is one that shows true human compassion.

The driving force behind Olive comes from a nurse. Eileen Konieczny has over 18 years of nursing experience. Sixteen of those years she has been specializing in oncology with an OCN certification and a few years in research. Through her experience, Eileen has found the unstoppable calling to advocate for medical marijuana. Understanding the need to live a happy and full life, one that is not necessarily measured by time left to live, is the creed that Eileen stands by. Advocating for patients, seeing the whole person, not just an illness or a disease that needs to be treated, is what nurses do best. Giving care and attention to very sick patients day in and day out takes a strong work ethic and a conviction that what you do matters. These are the things that have kept Eileen in nursing and these are the things that make Eileen a strong advocate.

For over a year, Eileen has been tirelessly learning and researching everything she can about cannabis. She has studied extensively in California, completing Advanced cultivation classes. Venturing out of her comfort level, with the notion of starting her own business, she has been blessed to have found a team of professionals who possess the same core values and principals that will make the vision of Olive come to fruition. All that is left is for the legislation to pass.
